McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center
Project Details
McKenzie-Willamette Hospital/Community Health Systems' plans to construct a new 200-bed hospital and 100,000 SF medical office building in Eugene, Oregon, required extensive transportation planning and engineering. The Delta Ridge project demanded significant coordination efforts among public agencies, including the City of Eugene, Lane County, and ODOT, during an 18-month period to identify necessary infrastructure improvements in the immediate project area and at the Delta Highway-Beltline Highway interchange. Group Mackenzie provided extensive analysis and modeling, including ramp meter analysis of the roadway system to determine near and long-term project impacts.
Transportation services were required to support property annexation into the City of Eugene, a comprehensive plan amendment, and a zone change application. The scope of services included transportation impact analyses to address Transportation Planning Rule (TPR) requirements, to support a specific development application, and to identify transportation infrastructure for future construction. Services also included preparation of an air quality analysis and the subsequent provision of civil engineering services for design of transportation and roadway infrastructure.
